We are learning to plant potatoes in a bucket.

You need a bucket with holes in it.

You need gravel on the bottom for the water to flow.

You need compost too.

Then you need to put the potato in the bucket with compost and gravel.

Digital Footprint

Today I was learning about where ever you go online you leave foot prints.

I enjoyed choosing the font and colours.

My digital learning object shows I can replace images, use the camera app, change text and backgrounds and embed my DLO in my blog.

Next time I would change the colours.

My Big brother Rhys got a 8 pointer stag last week.

I can't wait to try the meat patties he gets made, YUM!!

                

I went out one night to see how my chickens perch, they looked so cosy and warm.

Feijoa Fizz

Fermented Feijoa Fizz

1. Eat Feijoas

2.Add cut up skins to a glass jar

3. Add water to just cover the skins

4. Add 1Tbsp sugar

5. Sit for 2-3 days

6. Drain the juice

7. Add skins to the compost bin of feed to your chickens

8. Add 1Tbsp sugar to your juice

9. Top up with water (to where the water level was before you took the skins out).

10. Sit for another day, then chill, add ice and Enjoy.

* Note- alcohol is a by product of fermentation.

I didn't really like the taste of feijoa fizz. But give it a go you might like it !!!!!!

Home learning in lockdown

Lock down 2020

Hi everyone,
We are into our third week of lockdown here in New Zealand.

We have been doing lots of jobs around the house,baking and fun activities.

My mum has shown me how to make bread in the bread maker,how to whip up moose and how to make a toastie. I like making toasties for my family.
Today she is going to show me how to stew apples and how to make feijoa fizz.

We have been bonnet surfing behind the motorbike and with the digger.
We have been for rides down to the creek and taking the dogs for walks.

I have been enjoying time with my pets.

My Chickens

I have 7 chickens,2 dogs and 1 cat.

I hope everyone is well and doing fun stuff with their families.
